Proprietor Sabina Magyar brings her deep knowledge of food, wine and cheese to the Village Cheese Shop after spending time in Budapest and Tuscany learning the language and culture of these European cities. Sabina has also worked in New York for Michael Skurnik Wines earning an Advanced Certificate with WSET, the world-renowned wine educators. While in New York, Sabina continued her cheese education at Murray’s and Bedford Cheese Shop while cutting cheese at Blue Apron and the Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn. It is due to this extensive education in cheese that Sabina is now among the recipients of the American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professionals (ACS,CCP). Sabina has always dreamed of owning a cheese shop and has dedicated her life to the finest things in food and beverage. Now she brings her knowledge, experience and passion to her own dedicated European-style cheese shop in the village of Wauwatosa.
