Ron McCrea, journalist, editor, historian, and lecturer, is the author of “Building Taliesin: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home of Love and Loss (2012)”, now in its second printing and held by nearly 800 college and community libraries worldwide. He has appeared on TV as an expert in Wright documentaries, including the Travel Channel’s “Monumental Mysteries,” the E! Entertainment Channel’s “Mysteries and Scandals,” and the BBC’s “Frank Lloyd Wright: Murder, Myth, and Modernism.” He served on the board of AIA-Wisconsin as a non-architect member for the past nine years. McCrea served as a news editor for the Madison Capital Times, the Washington Post and Star, the San Jose Mercury News, the Boston Globe, and New York Newsday. He also served as Wisconsin Gov. Tony Earl’s press secretary. He is married and lives in Madison.
