Robert Buege

Bob Buege was born in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point the day before Bob Feller pitched a no-hitter against the New York Yankees. His birthplace is surmounted by the nation’s largest four-faced clock. After 40 years as an educator (34 in MPS, six at UWM), he now devotes his time to historical research, mostly related to baseball. He is president of the Milwaukee Braves Historical Association and secretary of the Wisconsin Old Time Ballplayers’ Association. He has written and published four books, two of them about baseball. His fifth book, a history of Borchert Field, will be published in 2017 by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.
