Rita Rochte
Rita Rochte brings a wide set of experiences to film discussion. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology and taught junior college and adult education for seven years. With an master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, she established a private practice and did executive coaching for Silicon Valley companies. She was also a frequent speaker for conventions in San Francisco.
In the late 80s, she moved to Wisconsin and increased her interest in film through attending eight Toronto Film Festivals and began studying film technique. She co-founded the Film Forum at Saint John’s. Her love of teaching and learning led her to be a historic Milwaukee guide, followed by another 10 years as a docent at Milwaukee Art Museum. Currently, Rita is following another passion as volunteer chair of the 21st Century Library at Saint John’s.
