Dr. Paula Rhyner
Dr. Rhyner’s interest in meeting the needs of the community are largely what attracted her to the leadership position at the School of Continuing Education (SCE). “I’m excited about the role that continuing education plays in providing accessible learning opportunities to individuals and organizations, while positively assisting economic development. As technology and businesses continue to rapidly change, SCE is uniquely positioned to provide timely, relevant training so employees can get back on the job quickly and apply new knowledge. I look forward to expanding upon ways we can identify and address unmet learning needs throughout the state.”
Dr. Rhyner came to UWM in 1983, most recently serving as interim Dean of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), and as an associate dean in the CHS for eight years prior. She received a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and Ph.D. in speech language pathology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, walking her cockapoo Ginger, cooking and baking.
