Michael Berkley is the founder of a social enterprise, working with at-risk populations to create sustainable businesses and communities.
Working as a community activist for over 20 years, Michael has years of experience as a group facilitator, teacher, adviser and team leader. He is also an Army veteran and former police officer.
Michael holds a BA in Africology concentrating on political economy and public policy as well as three years towards a dual PhD and MA in the Africology graduate program. In 2004, he earned certifications from Spencer Institute in Life Coaching and Holistic Stress Management. He is the author of several books ranging from African and African Diasporic history, religion, fraternities, politics and economics. His latest book focuses on the need for African Americans to participate in global affairs.
