Merry Wiesner-Hanks, PhD

Merry Wiesner-Hanks is Distinguished Professor of History and Women’s and Gender Studies Emerita at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is an author or editor of more than 30 books that have appeared in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Chinese, Turkish, and Korean. She is the descendent of immigrants to Wisconsin, though they were Norwegian, and also the descendent of German immigrants, though they went to Pennsylvania.
