Mark Hertzberg is an award-winning photojournalist and author and photographer of four books about Frank Lloyd Wright’s work in southeastern Wisconsin. He has lectured widely on the subjects of his books about Wright’s work including being the expert lecturer for Road Scholar’s Frank Lloyd Wright tours in Wisconsin. He was the recipient of a prestigious Wright Spirit Award from the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy at the group’s annual conference in Los Angeles in October 2019. Hertzberg is the newsletter editor and secretary of Wright in Wisconsin, the only statewide group devoted to the architect’s work. His website is www.wrightinracine.com. A native of New York City, he was a staff photographer and director of photography of The Journal Times in Racine from 1978 – 2012. He is now a contract photographer for ZUMA Press Wire. Hertzberg graduated from Lake Forest College with a B.A. in International Relations in 1972. He is an avid bicyclist. He enjoys traveling abroad with his wife, always with camera at hand.
