Maria Hamming

Maria Hamming is a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in African and African Diaspora Studies. Maria graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Global Studies & Social Impact, with a minor in African and African American Studies. Maria’s dissertation research is on African American heritage tourism to Ghana, West Africa, and the ways in which the African diaspora and Ghanaians exchange and share stories, memories, and history.
