The son of one of America’s preeminent Indian collectors, Kit grew up immersed in Indian history and material culture and frequently visited reservations on his father’s collecting trips. He studied history and anthropology in college and attended graduate school in history, specializing in U.S. government Indian policy before a career in advertising and public relations. His lifelong interest in the history of the American Indian has continued to this day. He learns something new on the topic almost every day. He is a frequent speaker to adult education classes and groups.
