Dr. Kane Stratman is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in both the Russian language and Biology. He earned his degree in Russian Language from the University of Evansville in 2016 and has pursued advanced studies at Indiana University and St. Petersburg State University in Russia. Since 2017, Kane has been a dedicated tutor and instructor at UWM, where he has helped countless students succeed in their language and science courses. He completed his PhD in Biology in 2024, further solidifying his academic credentials.

Kane is well-known for his commitment to student success. In 2023, he became the longest-serving tutor at UWM’s Student Success Center, a testament to his effective teaching methods and ability to connect with students. His approach to language instruction is hands-on and immersive, blending traditional pen-and-paper techniques with a deep appreciation for Russian culture. Kane’s passion for Russian folk music and instruments enriches his classes, offering students a unique and engaging learning experience.
