Julie Scott LPC holds the position of Trauma Informed Strategy and Practice Manager at Wellpoint Care Network (WCN). She supports both the Consulting and Training Department as well as the Child and Family Wellbeing Program at WCN. With roots in clinical services as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Julie has extensive experience providing mental health clinical consultation and therapeutic recommendations.
As the site supervisor for the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics™ (NMT) program, Julie is certified and holds a Phase II/Train-the-Trainer certification. She leads and oversees ongoing training and maintenance requirements for individuals seeking to be certified or maintain their NMT certification. Historically, Julie provided NMT assessments for internal and external stakeholders across Wisconsin. Passionate about education and neuroscience, Julie is dedicated to helping professionals and caregivers understand the impact of early adversity on the developing brain.
Additionally, Julie provides consultation to schools, professionals and families supporting children impacted by trauma — drawing from both clinical mental health practices and the NMT lens. She also serves as a facilitator and curriculum developer for trainings in Trauma-Informed Care, Trauma-Sensitive Schools and various trauma-related topics.
