Joe Quick

Joe Quick teaches cultural anthropology in the College of General Studies at UWM. His community-based research in highland Ecuador explores how indigenous Kichwa people build and manage civil society institutions in order to revitalize rural communities, create new livelihood opportunities, and advocate for their rights as indigenous people. His research takes an innovative approach by engaging deeply with Kichwa artists to explore their perspectives on Ecuadorian society.
