Like many people who grew up in Milwaukee, Jodi Gibson has fond memories of attending the Milwaukee County Zoo as a child. Today, she serves as the president and CEO of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Jodi has a unique blend of experience having held executive leadership positions in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She has served as the vice president of corporate social responsibility at two Fortune-200 companies including Kellogg Company and JCPenney. She also served on the national management team at the country’s largest domestic hunger-relief charity, Feeding America. Throughout her career she has helped design and launch a variety of national and global initiatives, including “Breakfasts for Better Days,” the global purpose platform for Kellogg Company which was created to help end childhood hunger and promote sustainable agriculture.
While most of her career was spent outside of Wisconsin, she is thrilled to return home to Milwaukee to serve our community and be closer to family and friends. She is a graduate of Ripon College and also studied at the Universite de Paris IV – Sorbonne. She finds great joy in being affectionately known as “Auntie Jodi” not only to her beloved nieces and nephew Samantha, Abby and Connor, but also to the children of her closest friends.
