Marco Adame-Barcenas was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He moved to the United States to study high school and continued to further his education at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He did not speak a word of English, yet from day one and knew that languages and travel would be a big part of his future.
Marco had the opportunity to study abroad in Seville, Spain, where he fully discovered his passion for teaching Spanish. He has been teaching Spanish at the School of Continuing Education for more than five years and currently is the Spanish teacher at a K-4 to 8th grade private school.
Marco’s favorite part about teaching is seeing the progress that the students make due to their effort and dedication. He strongly believes that we must encourage people to learn different languages because it helps us open up windows to different cultures and people. When he is not in a classroom, he is either running outdoors or enjoying a good game of fútbol or, the other football.
