Helena Pycior
Helena Pycior is a professor emerita in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research interests have ranged from the history of algebra to the history of human-animal relations. Her publications include four major essays on the life and career of Marie Sklodowska Curie. She is currently writing a book on the history of presidential pets, tentatively titled “American Presidents and Their First Dogs: Warren G. Harding’s Laddie Boy to FDR’s Fala.”
