Elyse Heinrich holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education with an Emphasis in Low Vision/Blindness for Students 3-21. She taught as a Teacher of Visually Impaired (TVI) for 5 years in public education settings before returning to school at UW-Milwaukee (UWM) for ASL coursework. Elyse has 18+ credits in ASL and Deaf Culture Studies and Communication systems for DeafBlind. Elyse started at the Center for Deaf-Blind Persons (CDBP) in 2014. Elyse currently instructs Clients in, computers, adaptive technology, independent daily living, leisure and cooking skills. Elyse serves as a teacher, Support Service Provider (SSP) presenter and is the Outreach Coordinator.
