Dimitri Topitzes, PhD
James “Dimitri” Topitzes, PhD, LCSW, is an associate professor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Dr. Topitzes designs, implements, and tests programs aimed at addressing psychological trauma. In 2013, he created the Trauma-Informed Care Graduate Certificate at UWM, directing the program until 2016. He is a co-founder and the Clinical Director of the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being.
