Diane Forman

After a career in teaching and business, Diane Forman began her writing life in 2002, at the age of 63, with the publication of “Common Threads: Nine Women’s Journeys through Love, Loss, and Healing.” In 2003-2004, she taught memoir writing at UWM for The Guild. Since then, she has facilitated three ongoing writers’ groups. Last fall, at age 79, she self-published her memoir, “The Diane Chronicles,” a roller coaster of marriage, loss, adoption, divorce, financial struggle, Al-Anon, widowhood and a rare disease. Diane found herself caught in the social upheavals of her generation, challenges that shook her world and enriched it. Her mantra is “our stories are the greatest legacy we can leave for our children.”
