Cristopher Hanks

Christopher Hanks, a 1968 graduate of Bowdoin College, spent two years in the US Army (where he was first exposed to what “think tanks” do) before returning to graduate school in mathematics at Northwestern University in 1971-1975, where he met and married his wife Suzanne and their sons Samuel and Peter were born. After finishing his Ph.D. at Northwestern, Dr. Hanks taught at Millikin University in Decatur, IL for two years before departing academia for the not-quite-so-stressful world of DOD think tanks, first in the Washington D.C. area and then in Santa Monica, CA, before retiring and moving with his wife Suzanne back to her hometown, Milwaukee, in the fall of 2007.
