Christal Wagner

Christal has her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Professionally she gained her start with the Milwaukee-based company Your Mother Dances in 2006, dancing locally and abroad. She currently performs with Danceworks Performance Company and has just finished her eighth season with DPC. Her featured work includes solo performances in DPC’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” (2011), Amii LeGendre and Carrey Foster’s “Museum of Narrow Places” (2011), Present Music’s “Around 30 Concert” (2012), and as the principal in DPC’s “Temptations Snare” (2014). Currently she choreographs for DPC, Cadance Collective and DSHA Theatre. She has been awarded three Tommy Awards for her choreography in DSHA’s “Urinetown,” Shorewood High School’s “West Side Story,” and DSHA’s “Shrek the Musical.” She has just completed her sixth summer working with Community Theatre Works and her eighth year teaching for UWM.
