Bonneka Seals

Bonneka Seals, MS, LPC, CSAC, ICS, NCC is a licensed psychotherapist, substance abuse counselor, supervisor, advocate, mediator, professional speaker, trainer, consultant and adjunct professor. Bonneka earned her master’s degree from Mount Mary University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and obtained a certificate of completion in Trauma Counseling from Mount Mary University. She also earned her certificate in family mediation from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. Bonneka has experience in crisis intervention, stabilization and working with at risk youth, sex trafficking victims and individuals suffering from complex trauma. She has worked with individuals dealing with grief, depression, addictions, mood disorders and other life challenges as well as been a valuable resource as a trainer and educator.

Bonneka is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is an adjunct professor at Mount Mary University in the undergraduate psychology department and the graduate counseling department. Bonneka is also a professional speaker that has given speeches on the topics of advocacy, sex-trafficking, relationships and finances. She also collaborates with LOTUS Legal Clinic to promote awareness, advocacy and education on the topic of sex trafficking.

Bonneka Seals is the founder and CEO of A New Breath(e) of Life Counseling & Consulting, LLC, an independent outpatient mental health private practice that provides innovative and outstanding psychotherapy, consulting, advocacy, mediation and education to promote the improved mental health and wellness of individual needing help from a licensed mental health therapist. Bonneka specializes in working with individuals suffering from trauma, victims of sex-trafficking, children with severe emotional and behavioral issues, individuals dealing with substance abuse related issues, mediating conflicts, individual counseling, family counseling, couples counseling, group counseling and consulting with organizations and other professionals. Bonneka provides seminars in her private practice on financial wellness, couponing, dating after marriage, financial health check and understanding people in the workplace. She also offers groups on anger management, self-esteem and independent living for adults and teenagers. She facilitates trainings for mental health professionals, therapists and the community to help better the mental health profession and giving resources to those in private practice.
