Amanda Seligman , Ph. D.

Amanda I. Seligman is Professor of History and Urban Studies at UWM, where she has taught since 1999. She earned an AB in Classics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in History from Northwestern University. She is the author of several books, including “Chicago’s Block Clubs: How Neighbors Shape the City” (2016). She collaborated with a team of other scholars to produce “The Encyclopedia of Milwaukee” and “The Bibliography of Metropolitan Milwaukee.”
