The Great American Immigration Saga

A nation of immigrants – the Great American Immigration Saga. In this course, we will explore the too little appreciated epic saga of the immigrations to America which is perhaps significant story that has defined our country’s evolution and its image abroad. We ask the question – if the Immigration saga is so significant, why is it so little understood and so great a source of ambivalence, even division? One answer is how immigration has been presented – and not presented – in our cultural life.
