Advanced Spanish Conversation

A continuation of the Imagina and Spanish Conversation courses, Advanced Spanish Conversation is for those looking for the next step in honing the Spanish language. Put your language knowledge into action and strengthen your oral fluency with this class designed for intermediate and advanced students. Course activities include conversation on a variety of topics such as general situations, current events, short readings and videos. Guidance on key grammar topics and vocabulary building are incorporated into the conversation practice.

No textbook is required.

This course can be applied to the Advanced Spanish Language Certificate.

1. Preparation for the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)
2. Interview practice
3. Speaking in more lengthy dialogue
4. Improve pronunciation, enunciation, inflection, fluidity, etc.
5. Expand your vocabulary
6. Practice “impromptu” conversation in Spanish
7. Direct/indirect pronouns refresher
8. Uses of all forms of the past tense

Prerequisites

Spanish Conversation II or Imagina II or equivalent experience

This is a noncredit enrichment program. Progress and courses completed are marked by Continuing Education Units. CEUs are not transferable to college or university transcripts.
