Past, Present and Future of Antibiotics
The discovery and use of antibiotics has had a profound impact on human health over the past century. However, due to overuse and misuse of these life saving drugs we have seen a dramatic rise in microbes that are resistant to antibiotics. This course will look at the history of the discovery and development of antibiotics, the rise of resistant organisms, and current approaches to overcoming antimicrobial resistance.
