Lunch & Learn: Healthy Aging in the Age of Longevity

JUMP TO REGISTER

Why are so many of us afraid of growing old? And why has old age gotten such a bad rap? As educator Herbert Kohl says, “Old age is a time to contemplate and understand the contradictions and find a way to live in harmony with one’s spirit and conscience.” In this online lecture and conversation, we will enjoy some inspiring true stories about interesting old people; we will quiet our fears of losing our minds, our mobility, or our independence; we will learn to resist ageism in our everyday lives, and we will assert that we have meaningful futures. Ask questions, share your stories and get some nourishing food for thought.

Bring your lunch to the Hefter Center at noon. Our online program will last from 12:30–1:45pm.
