Introduction to Film Studies

Gr. 9-12

Why do certain films make us feel different emotions? How do they help us reflect on critical issues in our society? This class explores methods of analysis used in understanding the art of filmmaking and the philosophies it raises. Whether you are an aspiring filmmaker or are just interested in going deeper –inception style—into some of your favorite movies, this course challenges you to think differently about cinema.

Please note all films screened will be rated PG-13 or below.
