Full STEAM Ahead Fair – Fall

Our Fall 2020 Full STEAM Ahead Fair has a Computer and Science focus. The classes for our fair are as follows:

9AM-12PM

• Computer Coding, Games and Fun! (Grades 3-5)
  Learn how to code while having fun! Through Code.org you learn how to create an online dance party or an app to share with your family and friends! You also play online games and have a chance to troubleshoot games like Minecraft or Angry Birds.
  Fee $59
• Computer Languages: Python Programming & C++ (Grades 6-8)
  In this introductory class you learn some of the basics and applications of two of the most widely used computer languages, Python and C++, and how they relate to the rising field of data science. Even if you have no background in computer programming, you’ll be able to catch on and learn something new!

12-1PM Lunch Break (unsupervised)

1-4PM

• Cryptology (Grades 3-5)
  Explore codes and ciphers through history. Learn how people try to keep things secret – and how others try to find out those secrets. Study secret messages from the beginning of time through modern-day computer security. You should be comfortable with mathematics to really enjoy this class.
