Eating Disorders: Signs, Symptoms, and The Impact on Youth
Awareness of eating disorders as a severe mental health issue has increased over the previous three decades. During this time providers have seen more young adults report anxiety around their body’s shape and size and have increasingly turned to destructive behaviors to control their body’s appearance. Throughout this presentation we will explore the differences between disordered eating and eating disorders, the impact of social media and different treatment options that are available.
