Building a Village: Shorewood’s Story
Shorewood is physically a small community, just a mile and a half square. However, farmers, dreamers and community builders, amusement parks, cement factories and trains have provided the village with a rich and colorful history. Today the tree-lined streets and variety of architectural styles still reflect the community’s early 20th century development.
