Alcohol: Discovery, History and Evolution

Recent discoveries have shown that human’s production of alcohol dates back at least 9000 years but how did we “discover” it, and how did it grow to become the multi-billion dollar industry it is today. This two-week session will hypothesize how our ancestors first consumed wine and beer, how production originated and spread from Asia and the Middle East through Europe, and the important role that alcohol played in our country’s history.
