Lecture Summary

MKE United: Greater Downtown Vision and Upcoming Action Agenda – With an estimated $5 billion in development downtown, there is need for a shared and inclusive vision between the government, the public and private interests. MKE United is a comprehensive planning process to create this shared and inclusive vision for Downtown Milwaukee and the surrounding neighborhoods. Their work draws on dozens of area plans and has featured high levels of civic engagement. They will share about the recently completed Phase I: Building the Greater Downtown Vision and about moving forward with Phase II: Developing the Action Agenda. Their goal is that the plan becomes a “living playbook” so that businesses, government and the community can successfully accomplish the action agenda.
