“Cultivating a Spirit of Adventure” presentation by Kyle Talbott, Associate Professor and Design Principal and Co-Founder at Skyhouse Studio
Lecture Summary:
Professor Talbott explains how his passion for a life of adventure drives his designs. He discusses how his design of large-scale, inhabitable labyrinths offers people opportunities to cultivate key traits of an adventurer: curiosity, independence, and courage. He describes aspects of his design process, including how he incorporates parametric modeling and digital fabrication into his projects.
BIO:
Professor Kyle Talbott is Design Principal and Co-Founder of Skyhouse Studio, a five-person practice that designs educational museums, museum exhibits and monumental climbing sculptures.
