Bio

Garth Rockcastle led the University of Maryland to a second place finish in the 2017 Solar Decathlon and is leading the Hungarian/US team at the 2019 European Solar Decathlon in 2019 in Budapest.

Lecture Summary

A high level and close up look at the issues we all face in integrating the importance of heritage with the plurality of environmentalism and the importance of aesthetics and style. This talk will use recent work from the practice of MSR Design and recent and ongoing US DOE Solar Decathlon work Professor Rockcastle has led at the University of Maryland.
