Model Shop Fabricator at Marvel Designs in New York
Marvel seeks a motivated, organized, and craft-oriented model maker, who can work collaboratively with all in-house disciplines across project to join our New York team. Model making is an integral part of Marvel’s design process at every stage – from pursuits and concept design to large scale mockups and material tests. The office embraces material experimentation and a wide array of model making techniques. This position requires a highly self-motivated team player, who is comfortable in a fastpaced and dynamic design environment.

Design Museum Press is now accepting essay proposals for a book inspired by the traveling and digital exhibition We Design. We are particularly interested in contributions from design students or recent graduates that explore personal identity related to being a designer, design thinking, or designing for the future world. We are seeking submissions from women and gender-expansive writers, Black writers, Indigenous writers, and/or writers of color early in their design career.

May 31, 2021 – Registration Deadline – Positive Future Contest hosted by Paris Institute for Advanced Study
The objective of this international contest, supported by the City of Paris, France, is to incite positive views by asking people to imagine stories of a desirable and sustainable world of tomorrow. The theme for this year’s edition is “Cities in 2100”. Candidates can write, draw, or even produce a short video, showing some pleasant aspects of life in cities in the year 2100. There is a prize of 10,000 euros for the grand winner!
