Bio

Marc Roehrle is a Wisconsin licensed architect, partner in the firm bauenstudio, and architectural educator. Marc’s focus on tectonics ensures the rich development a design. He received his BS in Architecture from the University of Virginia and his Master of Architecture from Yale University. Marc has won numerous design awards including the AIA Seattle Conceptual Design Honor Award, the BSA Unbuilt Architecture Honor Award and Yale’s Robert Allen Ward Scholarship Fund in Design. Marc has taught design studio and drawing at Northeastern University, Wentworth, the BAC, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Roehrle’s firm bauenstudio embraces the need to work simultaneously at multiple scales, developing spatial strategies in conjunction with the details that interact with the occupant on intimate levels. Their architectural process reflects the refinement of ideas. The design work of bauenstudio has been recognized with several design awards including a Boston Society of Architecture (BSA) Honor Award, a Boston Society of Landscape Architecture (BSLA) Merit Award and an ACSA Faculty Design Award. bauenstudio was also featured in the April 2008 issue of Architecture Record as an emerging practice to watch.
