Michael D. Mandelman is a PhD candidate (ABD) in Architecture and adjunct faculty at SARUP. He holds multiple degrees including finance from the University of Chicago. Michael has previously worked for ARC Architecture as a designer. Michael has a high interest in developing field of Environmental Design Research. His current research work examines the Person (PE)-Environment dynamic interchange while looking at the social architecture inherent and important in cohousing. The research further examines the an extraordinarily complex blending of the built environment, landscape and garden design that occur at levels of the individual, their environment, and their community. The research further It further tests whether the amount of available green space and preferences for interacting with those green spaces affect wellbeing.
