Lingqian (Ivy) Hu is a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP). She currently serves as the Chair of the Urban Planning Department as well as the Executive for Academic Affairs and Research of SARUP.

Professor Hu’s work has focused on the interrelationship between transportation and land use, with an emphasis on equity. She has extensive knowledge of real-world planning and policy efforts to promote just and prosperous cities, reduce socio-spatial inequity, and enhance environmental justice and public health. Professor Hu has published extensively in prestigious urban planning and transportation journals. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
