When the physicist Richard Feynman described glass as a “terrible monster of complexity,” he alluded to the often-underappreciated richness of optical effects that transparent and translucent materials offer. This 3-hour online tutorial, presented by Andrew Cesarz of Johnsen Schmaling Architects, will introduce you to techniques and strategies to capture the visual qualities and characteristics of glass and other diaphanous materials in your renderings and illustrations, using Rhino, Enscape, and Photoshop.

Lecture and open discussion on ultrarunning and place with Annie Weiss (at the age of 33, she ran the entirety of the Ice Age Trail – 1,200 miles – in 21 days, and set a new record), and Brian Frain (author of ‘See You At The Terminus: Breaking Barriers and Testing Limits on the Ice Age Trail’).
