Join Us for the UWM Roberto Hernández Center’s 5th Annual Bienvenida: New Latinx Student Welcome on August 3rd, 2023.

The Roberto Hernandez Center (RHC) is committed to supporting Latinx students through graduation and will be hosting our annual UWM Bienvenida: New Latinx Student Welcome event on Thursday, August 3rd at 12pm.

At this event you will:

• Meet the RHC Staff & other UWM campus partners and resources.
• Learn important information from RHC Success Coaches
• Network and build community with other new incoming Latinx students.
• Hear from and connect with current Latinx students and other Latinx professionals at UWM.

All students who attend will get a free ‘Yo Soy UWM’ t-shirt! 

​​We also recommend that you bring up to two guests with you to Bienvenida. Your guests should be your parents/guardians, or anyone who will be a strong support to you during your time in college; they will get their own unique experience.

NOTE: The Bienvenida event is separate from New Student Orientation (NSO) and Transfer & Adult Student Orientation (TASO). You must also attend/complete NSO/TASO before you can enroll in classes at UWM. Bienvenida is open to any NEW and Re-Entry Latinx student who is taking classes in Fall 2023 at the Milwaukee Campus.
