Description

Forward Fest is a series of festivals that would be located within different neighborhoods every summer throughout Milwaukee. Its unique name was chosen as this city used to be sectioned in wards, but more importantly, because the heart of Forward Fest is about uplifting and strengthening each neighborhood and their diverse talents! Musicians, artists, dancers, and comedians originally from these areas can gain a very unique platform through these festivals.

While local performers would gain awareness, communities would also become strengthened in connecting with others over the experience of those performances. Their sense of community would also be strengthened over experiences with delicious, local food and fun activities, such as crafting, face painting, friendly competitions, etc. The first Milwaukee neighborhoods that Forward Fest would celebrate are Bronzeville, Sherman Park, Walker’s Point, and Clark Square.
