Myranda Lope is a driven Design and Visual Communication student attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduating in the Fall of 2016. She is working on producing creative ideas that are practical and can be used to help others because she deeply cares about the safety and the social welfare of all those around her as well the earth. Her playful and lighthearted personality assists by making new connections in order to achieve the same goal in mind.

Project Description

On The Surface started in 2015 as a way to educate and involve residents of Milwaukee about urban heat islands. This project gives the opportunity for Riverwest residents to look at their community in a different way. By layering and illustrating the space, viewers will be able to clearly see how air temperature is effected by green spaces. Using a thermochromic map, it is simple to understand how areas change based on heat.
