Bio

I’m a senior in the DVC program, ready to graduate this spring! I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin where the entire city revolves around the one and only Packers. When I was looking for colleges to apply for, I was itching for a change of scenery and Milwaukee was the perfect match. I didn’t know anyone coming into Milwaukee so I had to bootstrap my way through college thus far and couldn’t be more proud of where I am today.  I’m currently an intern at a company that handles 5 different shoe brands and love seeing those products out in the real world. I work with a lot of different branding voices which has made me develop a whole new appreciation for branding. It’s extremely humbling to look back on what I’ve accomplished in a short 4 years and it makes me excited and optimistic for what the future holds after graduation.

Description

My manifesto is based off of what I was taught as a kid. I was put through Boy Scouts and came out alive on the other end with a skill set and perspective that I wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. During those years of the outdoors and community projects, we were taught to follow 12 principals. I still carry those principals with me today, but I have made them into my own. My manifesto shows that never ending journal of principals that I still carry with me today that I continue to add to as I experience more obstacles and challenges. I wanted my audience to approach my piece as if it is a relic that has been there for years, just like my principals. As they flip through the pages of my book, they’ll learn what values I carry out in my work and everyday life.
