Residents treat patients with orthopedic problems approximately 30 hours\/week with mentoring sessions from Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists two-four hours\/week. Education is enhanced through two hours\/week didactic coursework as well as participation in monthly specialty clinics. Professional development of instructional skills will occur at UWM through lecture and lab opportunities in the DPT program and through the UWM Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. The one-year program will start in July of each year with an application deadline in early January and decisions made mid-March. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/milwaukee-health-care\/work-with-us\/internships-and-fellowships\/physical-therapy-orthopaedic-residency-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Milwaukee VAMC Orthopedic Residency Program<\/a> is an ABPTRFE developing program.
