{"id":1443,"date":"2025-05-29T14:45:12","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T19:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/?page_id=1443"},"modified":"2026-03-26T12:14:24","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T17:14:24","slug":"need-roar-access","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/faculty-staff-resources\/need-roar-access\/","title":{"rendered":"Need ROAR Access?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwdev.uwm.edu\/registrar-backup\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Registrar\u2019s Office<\/a> manages the scheduling of GA Classrooms on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwdev.uwm.edu\/academicaffairs\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Provost\u2019s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-roar\"><strong>What is ROAR?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/25live.collegenet.com\/pro\/uwm\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ROAR<\/a>, Room Optimization Assignments &amp; Reservations, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwdev.uwm.edu\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UWM<\/a> acronym for <a href=\"https:\/\/corp.collegenet.com\/products\/scheduling\/scheduling.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">25Live Pro<\/a>, the room scheduling software utilized by campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary function of the software is to optimize and assign General Assignment (GA) Classrooms to the requested class sections. Its secondary function is to allow the campus community to create and manage classroom requests for ad hoc events after classes have been scheduled and finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Department-managed locations should be in ROAR if utilized for class sections and these locations can often be set up with specific location access, security, and workflow.
