Class Permissions<\/a><\/div>
A feature of PAWS that allow students to enroll themselves in classes when they would be otherwise unable due to the class being closed, missing prerequisites, required consent, or career restrictions.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Courseleaf Curriculum Software System (CIM)<\/a><\/div>
The curriculum management system for creating, modifying, and approving courses, programs, and curricular areas.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
FERPA for Faculty, Staff and Student Workers<\/a><\/div>
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) is federal legislation in the United States that protects the privacy of students\u2019 educational record information.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
General Assignment Classrooms<\/a><\/div>
The Registrar\u2019s Office manages the scheduling of General Assignment Classrooms on behalf of the Provost\u2019s Office.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Instructor Grading<\/a><\/div>
All official grades must be entered into PAWS by assigned instructors each term. The Registrar’s Office provides information on the process for entering grades in the present term.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Instructor Preferred Name<\/a><\/div>
UWM recognizes that instructors may choose to identify themselves within the university community with a preferred first and\/or middle name that differs from their legal name.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Online Grade Change<\/a><\/div>
Allows changes of grade for corrections to initial grades, submission of late grades and removal of incomplete grades.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
PAWS Academic Advisement<\/a><\/div>
Serves multiple functions, acting as a student-facing Academic Requirements report to track degree progress, an advisor-facing Undergraduate Academic Advisement Report (UGAAR) for academic guidance, and a tool for School\/College and Registrar\u2019s Office examiners to verify graduation eligibility and process degrees.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Post Enrollment Requirement Checking (PERC)<\/a><\/div>
A process within PAWS that allows students currently enrolled in prerequisite courses to enroll in subsequent courses on a conditional basis until a grade has been earned.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
