The Center has projects that assist individuals with disabilities, older adults aging in place and their families and caregivers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technology that gives comprehensive ratings of the accessibility of public places,<\/li>\n<li>Searchable technology that rates home medical durable goods,<\/li>\n<li>Technology-based assessment and documentation tool for home evaluations,<\/li>\n<li>The study of the effects of bifocal usage on falling,<\/li>\n<li>For more information on specific areas of research, see our\u00a0<a href=\"\/r2d2\/projects\/\">current and past projects<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While the Center is primarily supported by grant funding, support for Occupational Therapy students and researchers is needed to ensure these projects can be applied and used by people with disabilities in our community, Wisconsin, the nation and worldwide.<\/p>\n<h2>How can I donate?<\/h2>\n<p>All donations to the <span>R<sub>2<\/sub>D<sub>2<\/sub><\/span> Center are made through the UWM Foundation. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.give.uwm.edu\/R2D2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donate online<\/a>, by check or money order, or by phone.
