Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/qualtrics\/\">https:\/\/uwm.edu\/qualtrics<\/a> and click &#8220;Login to Qualtrics&#8221; to log in with your ePanther ID, password and <abbr title=\"Multi-factor Authentication\">MFA<\/abbr>. Follow any on screen instructions and an account will automatically be created for you. Use the same process to access Qualtrics in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For help, contact the UWM Help Desk via phone at <a href=\"tel:414-229-4040\">414-229-4040<\/a> or via the online <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/information-technology\/help\/\">Information Technology form.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-technical-resources\">Technical Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/university\/researchsuite\/\">Qualtrics Survey University <\/a> has numerous resources including online tutorials, research articles and information about survey design. There are also over 300 sample surveys that can be used \u201cout of the box\u201d, or questions can be selected, copied, and pasted into your own custom survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/\">Qualtrics Home<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/university\/researchsuite\/\">Online Training Programs and Survey Help<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-simple-basic-steps\">Simple Basic Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Developing a survey that will yield relevant results involves a number of important steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand and clearly articulate your objective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess the type of information you will need to collect and its relevant importance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determine the type of question that is needed to optimally obtain information required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write, review and test your questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do a \u201cdry run\u201d of the survey to determine how long it takes to complete and collect feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revise your survey if necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execute the survey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect the data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze your results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about developing a survey that will meet your needs, including how to construct the survey, write questions, collect the data and analyze the results, review the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/university\/researchsuite\/\">Qualtrics University research articles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"content_block\" id=\"custom_post_widget-62\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-compliance\">Compliance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some surveys may be considered human subject research and require Institutional Review Board approval prior to the initiation of the survey.\u00a0 In general, if your survey data is only being collected for a class project, quality improvement project, departmental evaluation, or social use, IRB approval may not be needed.\u00a0 However, if this survey is for a research project involving (1) a systematic investigation with (2) the goal of creating generalizable knowledge (i.e. being able to apply the data to a broader population and plan to publish or present the findings), IRB approval may be required.
