A leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide, preeclampsia is marked by the onset of high blood pressure during pregnancy, usually in combination with signs of organ failure. Rather than focusing on the deficits and vulnerabilities associated with preeclampsia, a strengths-based approach centers the capacities, agency, and cultural strengths of individuals in the context of the condition. When it comes to preeclampsia care, a strengths-based approach recognizes that survivors possess valuable resources, knowledge, and adaptive interactional strategies that can drive positive change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
